We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Head of DUCKS Music to lead and develop the Music programme across DUCKS, working closely with the College’s Director of Music and the wider Music Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher and leader to shape high-quality musical provision in the Early Years and Key Stage 1, with strong links into the Junior School.
As part of the role, you will:
* Teach classroom Music to Pre-Reception, Reception, Years 1 and 2, plus two Junior School classes
* Support and contribute to the Junior School singing programme
* Lead and manage DUCKS Visiting Music Teachers and oversee the 1:1 instrumental programme
* Develop singing across DUCKS and direct the DUCKS Orchestra
* Plan and deliver a vibrant calendar of concerts, performances, festivals and plays
* Contribute to Junior School productions where appropriate
In addition, you will:
* Oversee instrumental lesson timetabling, resources and instrument maintenance
* Maintain clear communication with parents regarding practical music provision
* Attend relevant departmental and College meetings
* Ensure strong and engaging co-curricular Music provision after school
* Play an active role in College concerts, events and key occasions such as Founder’s Day
* Undertake supervision duties as required
