Hi I need to find a reliable and experienced person to either take my dog Levi for walks, or check on him at home, or look after him in their home. For example, every Tue I travel to Plymouth and am away from about 4pm to 9pm. There will no doubt be other times for those unexpected urgent calls away like hospital etc. So I really need someone who is flexible and understanding. Levi is about 18 months old, a rescue dog from the RSPCA. We are unsure what sort of life he had before rescue, but he is very reactive with some small dogs and cats, plus he is very wary of children. As such, sadly, none of these could feature in the sitter's home, or on checking him in my home or as walk companions. Right now, Levi can never be let off his lead, he will simply run and not come back. On vet's advice, he has not yet been neutered. He is up to date with kennel cough, worms, fleas and tick treatment and has full vets insurance. He is not on any sort of medication. Other than that he is a young, very intelligent and enthusiastic chap. He is a sort of staffy / lab / boxer mixed breed, but even the vet is unsure exactly what he is! If it is a case of coming to you, I am very happy to drop him off and collect him. No offence, but anyone helping with Levi would have to have a clear DBS check. I would ask that of anyone so please don’t take it personally. Plus relevant insurance. Ideally, if you think you can help, it would be sensible for you to meet Levi a couple of times, with me there, to make sure you and he are happy before we decide. I live in Mevagissey.
