Mould Shop InspectorRotherhamShift Pattern: Days - Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm (37 hours per week)£35,000 - £36,000An established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Mould Shop Inspector to join its technical operations team. This role plays a key part in ensuring mould tools and equipment meet quality, safety, and production standards.The RoleReporting to the Mould Shop Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting mould equipment before, during, and after production runs, accurately recording findings, and supporting continuous improvement across inspection processes.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect mould equipment for wear, damage, and compliance following production runsRecord inspection results and equipment condition using a digital systemLiaise with internal coordinators regarding repair and refurbishment requirementsInspect new mould tooling and samples prior to release into productionSupport repair and refurbishment activities with inspection guidanceCarry out off-displacement and in-process displacement checks where applicableMaintain calibration and correct use of inspection equipmentCreate, update, and manage inspection documentation and data sheetsSupport colleagues with the correct use of inspection equipmentAssist in developing and improving inspection procedures and controlsComply with all Health & Safety and quality standardsUndertake other reasonable duties within skill level as requiredEssential Skills & ExperienceExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawingsConfident using calibrated inspection equipment (e.g. callipers, micrometres)Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and WordMethodical, organised, and detail-focused approach to workExperience using CMM inspection equipmentFamiliarity with 3D modelsBackground in data management within a manufacturing or engineering environmentProfessional, motivated, and results-drivenStrong attention to detail and analytical thinkingAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesConfident communicator with good interpersonal skillsFlexible, adaptable, and open to changePositive 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to take ownershipProactive in identifying and suggesting improvementsCommitted to promoting Health & Safety and quality standardsWhat's on OfferStable, full-time, weekday roleSupportive working environmentOpportunity to be involved in ongoing process improvementCompetitive salary dependent on experienceTPBN1_UKTJ
