General Manager – The Crown Hotel

The Crown is a dynamic, family-run 8 bedroom hotel known for its warm hospitality and commitment to excellent guest experiences, currently running a roughly 50/50 split F&B. We are looking to recruit a Manager to join our team and play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel.
This role has the optional benefit of live in accommodation. (Discussed at interview)

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry. (food, drink and accommodation) This role requires exceptional leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high standards of food safety, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food production
* Manage and train staff, including supervising kitchen, housekeeping and front-of-house teams
* Implement food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations
* Develop menus in collaboration with Head chef & Director, utilizing local ingredients and customer preferences
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient operations
* Foster a positive team culture through effective communication and leadership
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
* Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special events and menu offerings
* Ensure financial targets are met by monitoring budgets and controlling costs
Requirements
* Proven experience in Restaurant / Bar / Hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike
* Previous experience in hotel setting is essential
