The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will support your Store Manager in driving sales and managing the store's daily operations. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences, optimizing KPI performance, and maintaining high operational standards. You will also support and develop junior team members to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support your Store Manager in driving store performance and managing daily operations. Take responsibility in their absence.
2. Maximise sales opportunities and improve KPI performance by identifying focus areas and implementing improvement plans.
3. Provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
4. Offer a VIP concierge service by actively engaging with customers about products and tastings.
5. Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge, managing tasting events, and creating enticing tasting counters.
6. Assist in recruiting, managing, and developing the team, providing support and feedback to junior members.
7. Support team members' development, including passing WSET qualifications, and continue developing your own knowledge.
8. Ensure the store's physical appearance and maintenance are up to standard, reporting issues promptly.
9. Identify operational improvements to optimise store performance.
10. Maintain full compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements through mandatory training.
11. Communicate store, regional, and business updates effectively.
Knowledge & Skills Required
1. Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
2. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
3. Understanding of retail KPIs and strategies to improve them.
4. Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
5. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Positive attitude and determination to resolve problems.
7. Excellent communication and time management skills.
8. WSET Level 2 qualification is desirable; willingness to pursue WSET Level 3 for career progression.
9. Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
