Job Summary
Join us as a Residential Social Care Worker, supporting vulnerable children with Intellectual Disabilities in a nurturing environment. You will work at The Big House, a short breaks home, providing high-quality care and support, enabling fun, safe, and enriching experiences while giving families respite. In this role, you will support vulnerable children with intellectual disabilities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and health care needs are met. You will be part of a warm and nurturing team that values every member.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality care and support to children with intellectual disabilities.
* Meeting the physical, emotional, and health care needs of the children.
* Engaging in activities that promote their development and well-being.
* Working collaboratively with team members to create a safe and supportive environment.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to care plans.
* Participating in shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
Required Skills And Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting or school.
* Experience supporting children or adults with learning difficulties.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Working Hours And Benefits
This role involves working shifts, including:
* Early shifts: 6:30/7:00 am – 3:00 pm
* Late shifts: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
* A rota system, working two weekends out of three, with a 12-week advance schedule for planning.
We offer generous enhancements for shift work, including additional pay for hours worked after 8 pm, weekends, and bank holidays. This can significantly increase your annual earnings.
