Role Overview
As Junior Buyer, you will support the Procurement Manager and Buying team with day-to-day purchasing activity and administration. You will play a key role in supplier coordination, order placement, system updates, and data handling, helping ensure purchasing processes run efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and coordination support to the Buying team
* Assist with placing orders and liaising with suppliers
* Support the delivery of cost-effective and business-focused buying activity
* Manage administrative elements of new product setup and master data processes
* Maintain and update ERP system records accurately
* Assist with reporting and analytical data preparation
* Support existing procurement and buying procedures
* Carry out additional ad hoc duties as directed by the Procurement Manager
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar buying or procurement support role
* Experience with stock control and purchase order processing
* Proven administrative support experience within a buying or procurement function
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* High level of numerical accuracy and reporting capability
* Confident using ERP or similar business systems
