We are looking for an experienced qualified social work practitioner to join a specialist mental health social work team based within a regional medium secure forensic hospital.
You will need:
1. A recognised social work qualification and current SWE registration
2. Experience of social work practice in mental health, forensic services, the criminal justice system, or a related field
3. Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
4. Strong organisational, networking and negotiating skills
5. Experience of partnership working with other statutory agencies and professionals
6. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Care Act .
7. Knowledge and expertise in safeguarding adults, including devising care plans and prevention strategies
8. Excellent risk assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
9. An ability to navigate complex systems and formulate care pathways in partnership with other agencies and professionals.
10. A strong commitment to equality, social inclusion, strengths-based and restorative approaches
11. The skills to work collaboratively and therapeutically with service users and families using recovery models and psycho-social interventions
12. An ability to work within a challenging integrated service and as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
