Overview
We are pleased to offer opportunities for experienced Healthcare Assistants and for those looking to start their careers in healthcare as a Care Support Assistant. We are committed to developing our staff and can offer band 2 or band 3 positions depending on your level of experience.
This role will be based on Willow Stroke Rehabilitation Unit as Liskeard Community Hospital temporarily until March 2026. Following this date you will be permanently based on Anchor Ward, Bodmin Community Hospital. This role requires commitment to the ongoing development of the wards and multidisciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care. A cheerful and enthusiastic attitude is needed, with the organization supporting your career growth. Permanent contracts available, undertaking a range of night duties (19:30–08:00) and long days (07:30–20:00) on a rotational basis to support 24-hour nursing care, 7 days per week.

Main duties
To assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses.
* To carry out care/other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Senior Healthcare Assistant.
* Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a manner sensitive to the individual client 93s needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights and beliefs at all times.
* Contribute to resource management within the clinical area.

Education & Qualification
Essential
* Experienced in communicating with a range of people, in writing and verbally
* NVQ 2 in Health Care, or Equivalent
* Willingness and competency to complete the Care Certificate within set timeframe
* Clinical skills e.g. venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic non-touch technique

* Level 2 qualification or experience in a care environment
* NVQ 3 in Direct Care
