Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the management of our childcare programmes, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for early childhood education, as well as experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily management of childcare activities and programmes.
* Support the Leader in planning and implementing engaging educational activities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children, encouraging their social and emotional development.
* Supervise children during playtime and structured activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and well-being.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment.
* Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive working environment that prioritises the needs of children.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in some management or leadership roles within a childcare setting.
* Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications are highly desirable. Must be at least level 3 willing to work up to level 5.
* Experience working with children, particularly in a nursery environment.
* Strong communication skills, with proficiency in Welsh.
* A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and learning.
