The Opportunity:
Due to continued success in delivering ecology/environmental oversight to construction projects, we are looking to appoint experienced site/construction-based ecologists. The role is open to individuals seeking 6-month, 12-month, or permanent contracts in the wind, rail, or nuclear sectors. Successful applicants should be prepared to stay away from home for an average of four nights a week, sometimes including Sunday nights.
In this exciting role, you will:
* Be an integral member of our client's delivery teams on major infrastructure projects;
* Work alongside ecologists and engineers;
* Be responsible for ecology data collection;
* Design and implement ecology mitigation, including management plans and method statements;
* Deliver pragmatic and timely solutions to ecological constraints;
* Procure and engage with subcontractors.
As the successful candidate, you will:
* Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline;
* Possess a white CSCS card;
* Have at least 12 months of relevant experience;
* Be working towards, or hold, 'qualifying member' status or higher of CIEEM;
* Be flexible and willing to develop new ecology field skills, including during unsocial hours and when working away from home (expenses paid);
* Be willing to work away from home 3-4 nights a week in paid-for hotels or self-catering accommodation;
* Be able to work effectively as part of a team;
* Hold a full UK driving licence.

* 1.5x pay for work during unsocial hours (10pm - 6am);
