Senior Project Manager - Ophthalmology - Electronic Patient Records (EPR) OPENEYES
Band 8C £79,504 - £91,609 per annum
37.5 hours per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
The Senior Project Manager will lead delivery of complex workstreams within the Ophthalmology Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme, OpenEyes. The role is responsible for ensuring successful delivery against agreed scope, timescales, budget and quality standards, working across clinical, operational, digital and corporate teams. This is a senior, autonomous role operating at pace in a complex environment.

Job Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of complex workstreams within the Ophthalmology EPR OpenEyes programme.
* Ensure successful delivery against agreed scope, timescales, budget and quality standards across clinical, operational, digital and corporate teams.
* Produce detailed project documentation, including PRINCE2 artefacts and project reports for Programme Governance/Digital Boards.
* Construct a clinical safety plan and manage hazard logs with ownership and sign‑off routes.
* Lead and coordinate workforce activity across multiple clinical services and sites to support the delivery of the EPR programme.
* Support implementation of service and system changes, ensuring workforce requirements, skills and capacity are aligned to evolving service needs.
* Report to the Associate Director of Operations.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Educated to master's level or equivalent experience.
* Management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Understanding of IT infrastructure management to ITIL Foundation level.
* Understanding of Ophthalmology Clinical Pathways.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience in formal project documentation.
* Working knowledge of financial processes including preparing and managing budgets.
* Able to use digital systems including Microsoft Office.
* Risk management and governance experience.
* Proven experience of working in a senior management/leadership role.
* Experience of managing and motivating a large team or teams.
* Leading changes in practice in a complex environment to improve performance/services.
* Leading complex work streams.
* Proven Digital NHS experience in hospital and community systems configuration.
* Clinical system deployment experience.
* Project experience in a clinical system setting.
