What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of our supply team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children in our care. You will be responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment that fosters children’s development from birth to 5 years. If you’re a qualified practitioner or have previous experience in early years, your passion for childcare, creativity, and dedication will make you an essential part of our team.
A pivotal part of the role is planning and implementing engaging learning opportunities for children, while ensuring attention to each child’s interests and developmental stages, and maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care.
Happy Days strives to foster a real team ethos, so you will work within a thriving busy team environment. You will collaborate to maintain a clean, safe and organized nursery which has the children and families’ best interests at heart.
Beyond the care of our children, our families are at the centre of everything we do. You will communicate effectively with families when necessary, creating professional relationships and keeping them informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal supply staff will have an evident passion for making a difference within the sector, with experience in a nursery or other relevant education/early years environment being essential. A knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and how to implement it effectively (or a willingness to complete training to upskill) will be advantageous, along with the ability to plan meaningful and educational activities for children.
Safeguarding children is of utmost importance at Happy Days; you should show a strong commitment to wellbeing and safeguarding and take steps to ensure this is upheld consistently. Experience forming positive, professional relationships by communicating with children, parents and families is essential. While experience in a nursery and a Level 2 or 3 qualification is highly advantageous, all candidates with experience working with children will be considered.
