Early Years Educator Apprentice £7.55 per hour Temporary – required from 1st January 2026 (or earlier if possible) until the course finishes- expected to be around Summer 2027 40 hours per week, term time plus two weeks The Head Teacher and Governing Body of Tudhoe Moor Nursery School wish to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our Early Years Team and learn on the job through an apprenticeship. This post is a fixed term contract for the length of the apprenticeship, expected to be around 18 months long. The position is to work alongside pupils in our brand new baby room for pupils aged 9 months old to 2 years old. The position is full time working from 9.00am until 5.30pm. The position is for term-time only. We are opening our baby room in January 2026 (earlier if possible) and require a dedicated team member to join our team. Calculation of term time only plus two weeks’ pay Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.
