We design, develop, and manufacture high-tech capital equipment for the global semiconductor markets.
Our Test Engineers are part of a team that ensures we meet the required quality standards across our SPTS single-wafer products and helps the company meet customer requirements and expectations.
Purpose of the role
As a Test Engineer, you will handle, integrate, and test modules to establish test procedures, ensuring high standards are maintained and defects are identified and rectified in real time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Installing modular semiconductor equipment or fully integrated systems.
2. Testing live equipment to set specifications (3 phase, single phase, pneumatic, and fluid power).
3. Electrical and mechanical fault finding down to component level.
4. Performing cosmetic and functional quality control.
5. Recommending improvements to procedures and methods.
6. Collaborating with team members to resolve complex issues.
7. Driving product throughput to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
8. Recording test data using Shop Floor Online software.
9. Supporting product development in the creation of new products occasionally.

1. Has previous experience as a Test Engineer or similar role with familiarity with electromechanical products.
2. Can work within specified timescales and deadlines.
3. Possesses excellent analytical and fault-finding skills, utilizing electrical and mechanical schematics.
4. Can work independently and use initiative.
5. Demonstrates strong communication skills and maintains good working relationships.
6. Has troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
7. Is computer literate.
8. Can work on our current shift pattern of Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2 pm (week 1) and 2 pm to 10 pm (week 2), with shift premiums applicable.
Your experience
1. Minimum of HNC / HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
2. Experience in manufacturing or a shop-floor environment; clean room experience is preferred.
3. An electrical background, with mechanical and/or maintenance experience as an advantage.
4. Previous semiconductor industry experience is desirable.
