Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School in Maidstone

Contract: Full time, long term – starting ASAP
Salary: £95 - £105 per day
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring equal access to learning
* Assist with classroom activities, reinforcing learning objectives and encouraging student engagement
* Support students emotionally, socially, and academically within a secondary setting
* Work closely with teaching staff to adapt lesson materials and classroom strategies
* Help track and report student progress in collaboration with SENCO and wider staff
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working in a school environment (secondary preferred)
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN
* Good communication, resilience, and a dash of creativity
* A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 Support Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential
* A positive, proactive mindset and a genuine interest in young people’s development
