2381 – Cloud & Infrastructure Architect - AberdeenWe have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to join our team in Aberdeen. What you’ll do Serve as technical authority for the Cloud and on-prem Infrastructure environments and SME for both the public cloud ecosystem of partners, business users and other IS teams, along with associated traditional Infrastructure vendorsBe responsible for advising and delivering on strategic cloud migration engagements, applying technical expertise in cloud services to promote innovative solutions within IS and to the business, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and helping them achieve their business goalsMaintain Company Infrastructure documentation for IS standards, architecture principals, Strategy, Roadmap, blueprints and use casesUnderstand the technical, financial, and organisational/process requirements/constraints of the business, working closely with multiple IS teams to strategically adopt cloud-enabled solutions, balancing risk and cost against on-prem traditional infrastructure implementations where necessaryEnvision and architect new innovative solutions on/across cloud platforms, primarily in Azure and other private/public IaaS/PaaS platforms, as per project and product specifications and needsWork primarily with Microsoft Azure PaaS & IaaS but can also work with other cloud providers such as AWS, Wasabi & GCPProvide input and define both the strategic direction and roadmap for the full life cycle of design, development, operation and support of both on-prem Infrastructure and Cloud based systems and servicesWhat to bringProven experience architecting and implementing infrastructure and cloud solutions (ideally Azure)Extensive experience with on prem and cloud infrastructure environments, ideally within an Oil and Gas enterprise settingExperience in company divestments and integrations would be advantageousStrong understanding of cloud security principles and best practicesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisationAbility to work under pressure and to tight schedulesApply excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills to explain complex topics concisely to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to adapt to different and emerging technologies and systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong knowledge and experience of IT change management processes and principlesCertification in TOGAF, Microsoft Azure and ITILWhat You’ll Get in Return:We are committed to recognising and rewarding hard work and offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes (but is not limited to) the following;Pension SchemeMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceIncome Protection PlanLife Assuranceto Work SchemeEventsCar Salary Sacrifice SchemeWe also believe effective training and development benefits both the individual and the organisation as a whole and contributes to the achievement of the company’s mission.We encourage all our employees to further their skills and experience via various methods of learning.
