About the Role
:
We are looking for a Facilities Operative to join our team in Peterborough. You will be part of our Ground Maintenance team, delivering a range of Hard, Soft, and Grounds Maintenance services to our clients. This is a key role, ensuring that maintenance, compliance, cleaning, and grounds tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
You will support the day-to-day operations of a Communal areas, carrying out tasks such as Grass cutting, Weed and shrub and hedge cutting additionally collecting litter and ground maintenance works.
Role Criteria:
1. Experience in general maintenance tasks, including basic repairs and upkeep
2. Previous experience working within a ground maintenance works environment
3. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work to agreed protocols and timeframes
4. Willingness to work weekends and participate in a rota-based schedule
5. Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a wider team
6. Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and liaising with site staff
7. Understanding of statutory compliance duties
8. Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks safely
9. Basic knowledge of cleaning standards and techniques for communal and specialist areas
10. Ability to use cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively
11. Awareness of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
12. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of service
13. Positive attitude and professional approach when interacting with staff, and the public
14. Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills across Hard, Soft, and Grounds Maintenance
15. Basic IT literacy for logging tasks or completing compliance records
16. UK Full driving licence
