About the role
We’re looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our East Assessment and Treatment Service (ATS) in Brighton & Hove.
You’ll be joining a supportive, well-established community mental health team with a strong MDT culture, manageable clinical structures and excellent links with primary care and the third sector.
The post sits within the Park Crescent Cluster, aligned to a small group of GP practices to support continuity, collaboration and effective clinical decision-making.
Your clinical role
* Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and evidence-based treatment
* Act as Responsible Clinician for patients subject to CTOs
* Undertake Mental Health Act assessments as required
* Provide supervision to higher trainees and informal supervision to MDT colleagues
* Work closely with inpatient teams, forensic services and substance misuse services
* Contribute to collaborative formulation, shared decision-making and recovery-focused care

What we’re looking for
* GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist (or within 6 months of CCT)
* Approved Clinician and Section 12 status (or able to achieve shortly after appointment)
* Commitment to collaborative working and shared leadership
