The role?
An exciting new permanent role has arisen for a Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Commercial team here at EnerMech. This role is full time and will be based in our offices in Aberdeen. The role will be primarily responsible for leading the reviewing and co-ordinating of responses to client contractual agreements, whilst ensuring that the business risks are reduced to a minimum and that the company contracting principles are upheld. Other main duties and responsibilities will include;
1. Drive contractual support in Europe directing the contracts specialist for support as required
2. Develop Tender Strategies in accordance with company processes and procedures
3. Helps maintain a forward plan for forthcoming contractual support projects
4. Ensuring the correct application of relevant agreements and contracts currently in place
5. Ensure target dates are complied with for responses to clients
6. Ensure contract and commercial negotiations are conducted in accordance with company procedures
7. As required following a contract award, participate in any handover / kick off meeting with the operations team, including any relevant support functions, of the tender and any qualifications
8. Provide assistance and advice in the resolution of contractual disputes
9. Developing new departmental documentation and procedures
You are?
To be successful for this position you will hold a minimum HNC/HND in Business Management, Quantity Surveying or Law or similar. It is essential you hold previous experience in a contracts or proposals role, or an engineering discipline function involved in producing cost estimates or proposals ideally within the Oil/Gas/Energy sectors.
You will have a background in commercial and contractual diligence and have had exposure to Project Management and delivery vs deadlines.
