Our client, a well-established global software solutions company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and operate reliable, scalable platforms that support the safe and efficient delivery of software. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate build and deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and strengthen cloud-native capabilities. This role emphasises practical delivery, operational ownership, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Build, maintain, and operate cloud-based infrastructure across production and non-production environmentsAdminister and support Linux and Windows systemsContribute to infrastructure design with a focus on availability, scalability, and securityDesign, implement, and maintain CI pipelines for on-premise and cloud-hosted applicationsSupport and improve CD and GitOps workflows (e.g., Argo CD)Maintain and optimise build infrastructure and build agentsDeploy, operate, and support Kubernetes workloads, services, ingress, and configurationTroubleshoot Kubernetes and container-related issues in production environmentsImplement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutionsSupport operational aspects of platforms such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and OpenSearchRequired Skills & Experience:Experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering roleStrong Linux knowledge and working knowledge of WindowsHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelinesExperience deploying and operating applications in cloud environmentsWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based workloadsExperience with Git-based workflowsScripting skills (Shell/Bash and/or PowerShell)Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and incident management practicesDesirable Skills:Experience with GitOps tooling (e.g., Argo CD)Experience with Bamboo and BitbucketKnowledge of Kafka, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL operationsExperience operating OpenSearch or similar logging platformsUnderstanding of cloud security and access control (RBAC, secrets)This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an agile, fast-moving environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence with a competitive salary and benefits, with flexible options of hybrid working where possible and fantastic opportunities for professional growth, training, and progression.TPBN1_UKTJ
