Reporting to the Enterprise Systems Manager, the role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of SMD’s Enterprise Systems.
The Role
Responsible for providing assistance to customers needing to resolve problems with their computer systems in an enterprise and multi-site infrastructure by answering service requests; work with customers to determine nature of problem, escalating if required, then follow the problem until final resolution; perform regular data and administrative checks to ensure system data accuracy; map and document system processes and interfaces and suggest improvements.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
* First port of call in supporting the SMD Enterprise Systems architecture to support Engineering Excellence
* Work with technical support (SMD and third parties) to ensure the uptime and usability of SMD’s core enterprise systems (PDM and ERP)
* Work with stakeholders to identify and define processes and tools that will provide operational efficiency gains or enhanced data accuracy/integrity
* Perform daily administrative checks to ensure data accuracy and availability
* Ensure steady storage provisioning, protection of data, and adherence to compliance
* Assist the ESM in championing the use of data and systems throughout the business
* Assist in ESM and DX Team in close out of system issues
* Provide administration support to the ESM and DX team including data cleaning, process mapping, data transfers and electronic filing of data
* Responsible for ensuring correct engagement with all SMD departments required to deliver high performing enterprise systems
* Create, maintain and utilise system documentation
* Resolution, escalation and analysis of key issues, risks, concerns etc, both internal and external
Requirements
* Experience in using & maintaining a technical database
* Strong customer focus
* Excellent level of communication both verbal and written
* Self motivated with an ability to full ownership of tasks and work with a good level of autonomy
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* IFS, Autodesk and/or SharePoint experience would be desirable
