About the Role
Junior Chef (Café) – full time, permanent
Join our in-house Catering team at Alexandra Park and Palace and play a key role in delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes across our two bustling cafés: the East Court Café and the Boating Lake Café.
No two days are the same — one day you might be prepping pastries for the morning rush, the next helping create daily specials for our seasonal menu. If you love food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a team that fuels one of London’s most iconic venues, we’d love to hear from you.
Key duties include:
1. Prepare and serve fresh food across both cafés
2. Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen
3. Follow recipes and portion standards to ensure consistency
4. Support the Head Chef in developing menus and specials
5. Help manage stock levels and minimise food waste
6. Occasionally supervise team members during shifts
7. Support catering for events across the site
Essential
* Right to work in the UK
* Basic cooking experience inc. preparation techniques
* Experience working in a cafe or hospitality environment in a similar kitchen-based role
* Well organised
* A passion for food
* Physically able to fulfill the the responsibilities of the role including standing for long periods of time
