We’re hiring for a high-impact Business Development Manager to drive growth across Smart Building technology solutions in the UK market.


This is a proper “hunter + closer” role for someone who loves complex, consultative sales cycles, can speak the language of engineering/controls/facilities, and knows how to sell SaaS-style solutions that solve real operational and energy-performance problems.


What you’ll be doing

* Building and owning a pipeline from prospecting through to close (full sales cycle)
* Running discovery, web demos, in-person meetings, and delivering tailored proposals
* Developing value propositions, deal structuring, negotiation, and contract close
* Managing pipeline activity through CRM and sales tools (forecasting, reporting, cadence)
* Responding to RFPs/RFQs and leading proposal writing
* Recruiting and enabling channel partners / VARs to expand route-to-market
* Staying sharp on the competitive landscape and positioning to win
* Growing existing accounts via upsell/cross-sell
* Consistently hitting (and ideally beating) quarterly and annual targets

What we’re looking for

* 10+ years in technical B2B sales (field sales experience essential)
* Strong exposure to Smart Buildings / BMS / HVAC / controls / facilities / energy efficiency / sustainability tech
* Confident selling software and technology solutions (SaaS mindset, solution-led selling)
* Comfortable with complex sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and negotiation
* Strategic + analytical approach to sales planning and operations
* Strong communication skills — you can translate technical value into commercial outcomes
* Experience selling into healthcare, higher education, or commercial real estate is a big plus
