NEC4 Supervisor – Highways Project (Somerset)Location: Site-based near Podimore, Somerset (first 4 months), followed by ad hoc site visitsPay Rate: Up to £60 per hour (inclusive of expenses)Hours:32 hours/week until 31st July 2025Then approximately 16 hours/month from August 2025 to August 2026We are seeking a qualified NEC4 Supervisor to join an integrated delivery team on a major highways infrastructure project located on the A303 near Podimore, Somerset. The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles within the highways sector, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to site supervision.Key Responsibilities:Fulfil the duties of Supervisor as set out in NEC4 ECC contractsDevelop familiarity with the scheme design and raise queries around constructability, safety, and qualityReview and agree on Inspection and Test Plans; witness on-site testing and commissioningIdentify and notify defects in accordance with the contractVerify the standards of work and materials in compliance with contract specificationsMonitor progress and provide advisory input on risks and issuesSubmit weekly progress reports covering safety, quality, and completion statusMaintain detailed site inspection, test, and audit recordsAttend site and off-site meetings and inspections as requiredCollaborate with the delivery team to resolve technical issues and ensure best practicesQualifications & Experience:NEC4 ECC Supervisor Accreditation (essential)Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineExperience with the design and construction of highways infrastructure5+ years in a similar role preferredStrong communication, reporting, and client-facing skillsPractical understanding of the DMRB and Specification for Highway WorksPrevious experience in National Highways projects preferredWe can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this position.
