The role:
As part of the installation team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects across a variety of residential sites. Key responsibilities will include:
1. Installing and maintaining Solar PV systems, including panels, inverters and battery storage systems, in line with technical specifications and industry standards.
2. Installing cable tray, trunking, SWA and CAT5e cabling to required specifications.
3. Ensuring all electrical work is completed in accordance with current UK electrical regulations and health & safety requirements.
4. Carrying out testing and inspection activities to ensure installations meet regulatory and safety standards.
5. Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults during installation and commissioning.
6. Promoting and maintaining excellent health and safety practices on site at all times.
7. Keeping up to date with developments in renewable energy technologies and relevant legislation.
The successful candidate:
8. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
9. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
10. ECS Gold Card.
11. A full, clean UK driving licence.
12. 2393 qualification
13. Knowledge of LV AC and DC electrical systems.
14. Previous Solar PV installation experience (desirable but not essential).
15. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
16. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
17. Strong organisational and communication skills.
18. A proactive approach to health and safety.
19. The physical ability to work at height when required.
20. A full, clean UK driving licence.
