Position Overview
As a Hose Engineer, you will be the go-to expert for providing quick, site-based hose making and replacement services to our commercial and industrial customers. Your role will involve:
* Producing certified clean Caterpillar hoses
* Offering hose and coupling knowledge support to service, parts, and customer operations
* Following Caterpillar's Hydraulic Information System (HIS) for hose builds

* Salary: £33,970 (based on a 43-hour week)
* Commission: Up to £15,000 OTE (uncapped!)

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Hose Engineer, you will:
* Respond to customer service requests promptly, ensuring they are informed and satisfied
* Manufacture hose assemblies tailored to customer needs
* Maintain stock levels on your FHS van and ensure all repair equipment is in top condition
* Build strong customer relationships to drive business growth
* Manage work orders for timely invoicing and cost management
What You Bring
We’re looking for candidates who have:
* Minimum 3 years of engineering or service experience, preferably in the hydraulic hose industry
* Customer-facing experience
* Strong project management and organizational skills
* Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
* A deep understanding of service manuals and hydraulic systems
* Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical fitting
