Real Estate Finance Fee Earner
Location: Altrincham
Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience) + bonus/benefits
One of our clients based in Altrincham, are currently seeking an ambitious and technically strong Real Estate Finance Fee Earner to join their busy property team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic Legal 500 firm that acts for a variety of lenders, including challenger banks, private funders, and bridging finance companies.
You will be handling a diverse caseload of secured lending transactions in a fast-paced environment, while retaining high-quality, complex work.
Key Responsibilities
* Transaction Management: Manage a caseload of Real Estate Finance transactions from instruction to completion, acting primarily for lenders (and occasionally borrowers).
* Drafting & Reviewing: Draft, review, and negotiate security documentation, including Facility Agreements, Legal Charges, Debentures, and Personal Guarantees.
* Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive title investigations, review searches, and raise necessary enquiries to protect the lender’s security.
* Bridging & Development: Handle short-term bridging finance and development finance matters, often working to tight deadlines.
* Report on Title: Prepare detailed Certificates of Title and Reports on Title for lender clients.
* Post-Completion: Ensure all post-completion matters, including Land Registry registrations and Companies House filings, are dealt with promptly.
* Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with business development managers, brokers, and private bankers.
Requirements
* Qualification: You are a Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Fellow, or an experienced non-qualified Fee Earner with a proven track record in Real Estate Finance or Commercial Property.
* Experience:
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role handling your own caseload from inception to completion.
* Strong knowledge of Bridging Finance and Secured Lending is highly desirable.
* Experience with dual representation (acting for lender and borrower) is a plus.
* Technical Skills: Solid understanding of property law, land registration, and the risks associated with secured lending.
* Soft Skills: Commercial awareness, excellent time management, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict funding deadlines.
