The Opportunity
An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support a major engineering project, working on‑site to ensure compliance and quality assurance across mechanical and piping installations.
The Role
This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Quality Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, Mechanical Quality Engineer, Welding Inspector, Piping Quality Engineer, Inspection Engineer, Construction Quality Engineer, Site Quality Engineer, Compliance Engineer, Project Quality Engineer. We would also welcome applications from these industries: Oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power generation, and heavy industrial construction.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Review and assess contractor inspection and testing documentation to confirm adherence to project specifications
* Verify quality records and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards
* Provide on‑site quality oversight across piping systems and mechanical equipment installation activities
* Support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes within a construction environment
* Collaborate with project teams to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* Strong technical knowledge of piping installations, welding processes, and mechanical equipment systems
* In-depth understanding of UK regulations including Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, PE(S)R, and CDM
* Demonstrable background working within inspection, quality assurance, or construction environments
* Experience working on engineering or infrastructure projects in a site‑based capacity
* Ability to work on‑site full‑time and manage quality activities independently
