Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing food production.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
* Provide leadership during service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals to guests.
* Address any issues that arise within the kitchen promptly and professionally.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production processes.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Culinary qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.10 per hour
