About the Role
As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in generating new business through a mix of inside and outside sales strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to work with small- to mid-sized businesses, including donut shops, coffee shops, and farmers market vendors.
Key Details
* Location: Moreno Valley, CA
* Territory Coverage: San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties
* Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
* Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 annually (Depending on Experience)
* Base Salary: Provided during the initial 3–6 months, followed by eligibility for performance-based bonuses and commissions.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and secure new business opportunities
* Conduct cold calls, respond to inbound leads, and schedule face-to-face meetings
* Deliver persuasive product presentations and provide samples to prospective customers
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service
* Maintain detailed records of client interactions using CRM software
* Represent the company at trade shows and networking events (quarterly/semi-annual travel required)
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
* Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activities
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who has:
* A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in business development, sales, or account management
* Prior experience in the packaging industry is highly preferred
* Proficiency in business software such as QuickBooks and/or NetSuite
* Strong familiarity with social media platforms for marketing and outreach
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A highly motivated, personable, and resilient attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
* The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
* A willingness to travel locally on a daily basis and overnight for trade shows
