We are inviting applications for the Team Leader role in Higher Applications of Mathematics.
The Team Leader will support the Principal Assessor whilst leading a team of Markers. The primary role is to manage Markers to ensure that national standards are being consistently applied and maintained. Further details on the requirements of the Team Leader role are available in the Role Profile, which contains the contract specification, selection criteria and key performance measures. The successful applicants will have a sound track record in marking Higher Applications of Mathematics.
The Team Leader will require up to 5.5 days release during May and June 2026. Own time will also be required as follows:
1. Project standardisation (non core) Friday 1 - Sunday 3 May
2. Project Markers Meeting (face to face - all day) Monday 11 May - Followed by continuous support of marker team working from home until Monday 25 May
3. QP standardisation (non core) Tuesday 2 - Thursday 4 June
4. QP Markers Meeting (remote - half day) Tuesday 9 June - Followed by continuous support of marker team working from home until Tuesday 23 June
Release and own time fees will be paid. A responsibility fee will be calculated on the number of markers assigned to you at the start of live marking period. Marking fees for scripts marked also apply.
