Contract and hours

Fixed term post for 11.1 hours per week – 12 months. Permanent full time and part time hours available. Please note: as this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.

This post requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not currently a PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.


Role summary

To support the development and provision of a specialist psychology service, including supervision of a team of psychologists and/or trainees, and to take responsibility and leadership as the Psychology representative in designated specialist areas. To provide clinical supervision and support in relation to the psychological assessment, therapy and management provided by trainee psychologists, multi-disciplinary clinicians and staff within the designated clinical area. To be responsible for providing psychology teaching, training, consultancy and supervision activities management within a governance structure. To undertake audit and research relevant to the service area. To be responsible for the management of a specialist caseload.
