About the Role
If you are passionate about Construction Trades and want a career where you can positively impact learners' careers, this is the role for you! We support staff in gaining a recognised teaching qualification, an assessor’s award, and internal CPD.
This role involves supporting the next generation of Construction Trades workers through a construction Multi-Skills course, inspiring learners to progress into their chosen trades.
Responsibilities
* Develop, prepare, and deliver high-quality education and training programmes.
* Teach and assess units in Entry level and Level 1 Construction Skills qualifications, including maintaining discipline and promoting safe working practices.
* Manage allocated learners to ensure retention, progression, and achievement.
* Deliver underpinning knowledge and practical training in workshops covering Brickwork, Carpentry, Plastering, or Tiling.
* Deliver theoretical knowledge in classroom settings, including Health & Safety, Construction Principles, and trade-specific skills and behaviors.
Reporting and Additional Duties
* Prepare and deliver course materials.
* Conduct lecturing, tutorials, assessments, and support student placements.
* Provide pastoral support and liaise with parents, guardians, schools, and employers.
* Participate in staff appraisal, classroom observations, and examination arrangements.
Candidate Requirements
* Strong knowledge of Construction trades, with relevant industrial/vocational experience.
* Skills in a Construction trade with broad knowledge of other trades, up to Level 3.
* Enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment to accuracy.
* Excellent communication, IT, and organizational skills.
* Proven success in teaching or engaging with young people.
