The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Health and Safety Adviser to join their Asset Management Team, to lead and manage the development and implementation of initiatives which support the Asset Management annual HS improvement system, processes and projects.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of health and safety management systems, as well as sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and its application. They must also have experience of operating a systematic approach to managing health and safety, coupled with technical health and safety problem solving, identifying sensible and proportionate solutions.
The role will involve working closely with the Head of Asset Management, Fleet Management, Local Senior Officers, colleagues and Trade Union safety representatives.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
