This is a specialist role at the heart of intelligence‑led decision‑making, helping to identify threats, mitigate risk, and protect our people, assets and operations. About the Role You will provide senior‑level intelligence and analytical expertise within Royal Mail Security, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insight. Working closely with operational teams, investigators and senior leaders, you’ll support threat assessments, criminal investigations and strategic planning through high‑quality intelligence products and analysis. This role is ideal for an experienced intelligence analyst who enjoys working with complex datasets, shaping priorities, and influencing decisions at pace. Key Responsibilities Deliver advanced security intelligence analysis to support operational, tactical and strategic decision‑making. Analyse large and complex datasets to identify threats and vulnerabilities. Produce high‑quality intelligence products, including analytical reports, dashboards and senior‑level briefings. Support strategic threat assessments and contribute to organisational prioritisation through evidence‑based insight. Provide analytical support to criminal investigations, informing lines of enquiry and evidential development. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to align intelligence outputs to security priorities About You You are an experienced analyst with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to turn complex information into meaningful insight. You communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences, are confident influencing senior stakeholders, and operate with professionalism and discretion in sensitive environments. What You’ll Bring Accredited training in intelligence analysis such as NIAT or equivalent. Experience delivering intelligence or analytical insight in a security, risk or investigative environment. Experience producing written intelligence products and presenting findings to senior audiences. Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks (e.g. PACE, RIPA, DPA, ISO standards). Strong understanding of data governance, ethical intelligence handling and confidentiality. Confidence influencing stakeholders across operational and strategic settings. Experience using SQL or cloud‑based data platforms is desirable.
