Summary
Compass Corporate Services are proud to be working exclusively with a well-established charitable provider of supported living and social care services across the South East.
This organisation supports individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, enabling them to live more independently through personalised care and high-quality housing. With a strong values-led culture and a focus on long-term,
meaningful impact, they’ve built an excellent reputation for both service quality and staff development.
They are now seeking a Tenancy Management Officer to help oversee and deliver an effective housing management function across their supported housing portfolio. This is a key role for someone who thrives on getting the details right, working collaboratively, and ensuring vulnerable people have secure, stable, and well-managed homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage tenancy agreements across a diverse housing portfolio (owned and leased properties)
* Support new tenants with on-boarding, documentation, and benefit claims
* Proactively manage rent arrears, working with Housing Benefit teams and internal finance
* Advise tenants and operational teams on rights, responsibilities, and tenancy compliance
* Resolve tenancy-related disputes promptly and professionally
* Support annual rent reviews and negotiations with local authorities
* Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation and sector standards
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to monthly reporting on arrears and tenancy performance
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in housing management, ideally within supported housing, care, or third sector settings
* Strong working knowledge of Housing Benefit, exempt rents, and tenancy enforcement
* Highly organised and detail-focused, with confident communication skills
* Comfortable working across teams and dealing with external stakeholders (e.g., HB teams, landlords)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car for occasional site visits
* A people-focused, collaborative approach and a passion for supporting vulnerable communities
