Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
* System Design & Integration – Design and specify vision solutions (cameras, lighting, optics) for use in automated inspection systems. Work with internal and customer teams to integrate these into broader automation setups.
* On-Site Commissioning – Travel to customer sites to install, calibrate, and validate machine vision systems. Configure software tools (e.g., Cognex, Halcon, Sherlock, Zebra) and troubleshoot image quality or inspection logic.
* Technical Support – Act as the primary technical contact for machine vision issues post-installation. Use software diagnostics, logs, and structured testing to resolve faults efficiently.
* Continuous Improvement & Product Development – Monitor system performance in production and propose algorithm, lighting, or setup changes to improve reliability, reduce false positives/negatives, and increase throughput.
* Documentation & Training – Write clear technical documentation for systems deployed. Deliver basic user training to operators and maintenance staff on how to use and interpret the vision system.
* Collaboration – Work closely with Controls Engineers, Software Developers, and Project Managers to ensure seamless integration into production equipment.
Outputs/Deliverables
* Deliver machine vision projects from start to finish
* Technical definition during sales process, providing advice to what system will fit customer request best
* Offline programming and lab testing. Prepare the vision system in the lab completely simulating the production environment
