We have an excellent Locum Fostering Independent Reviewing Officer opportunity available in the central Liverpool area. The Fostering IRO will be required to independently chair foster carer reviews.

Responsibilities:
7. Independently organise, co-ordinate all Foster Carer Reviews, Post Allegation Reviews and Cause for Concern meetings, in line with statutory requirements and guidance. Including preparing any necessary reports, offering advice, and maintaining information and performance targets for all reviews.
8. Ensure all planning arrangements for Looked After Children are of the highest quality and compliant in accordance with all statutory guidance and regulations as set out in CA 1989, IRO Regulations and Guidance 2004 and Working Together 2013.
9. Prepare high quality review reports with clear recommendations regarding the carer(s) suitability to foster, evidencing the rationale of the recommendations.
10. Undertake case audit reviews.
To be considered for the IRO role...ideally, you will have:
11. BSc Social Work or equivalent
12. Social Work England Registration
13. Fostering Independent Review Experience
14. In-depth knowledge legal frameworks with associated statutory legislation and statutory guidance
15. Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to performance indicators
