Vehicle Technician / Mechanic required, in the Uttoexeter area
1. Salary circa £35,000 (Basic, Depending on Experience)
2. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
3. Uttoxeter, Staffordshire
4. Reputable Independent Specialist Service Centre
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our well-established, family-run service centre based in Uttoxeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who takes pride in their technical ability and leadership within the Workshop.
As a Technician; you will take pride in your work, carrying out repairs to a high standard. You must be confident in working independently, with an exceptional understanding of both mechanical and electronic vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities as a Vehicle Technician:
5. Carry out repair work, diagnostics, mechanical and electrical, servicing, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
6. Perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to industry standards.
7. Conduct MOT Tests (if licenced) and complete all associated paperwork accurately.
8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
9. Support Workshop Management in the efficient running of the Service department.
Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role:
10. Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or Higher in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
11. Proven experience in a similar role
12. Full UK Driving Licence.
13. Your own tools.
14. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
This position is ideally suited for someone local or within reasonable commuting distance of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
