Senior Peer Facilitator (Early Intervention Service)
Location: Fairfield Centre Town, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: £28,392 - £31,157 per annum, pro rata (subject to confirmation)

Main Duties
Develop a supportive peer network across the Early Intervention service locality by enhancing recruitment, training and mentorship of Peer Facilitators.
Promote Trust-wide understanding of the role of peers in achieving excellent person‑centred care, and foster recovery principles and education.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Good level of secondary education in Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent level
- Level 3 Peer Worker Apprenticeship or similar qualification, or commitment to work towards Level 3 Peer Worker Apprenticeship
Knowledge
- Lived experience of mental health illness and experience of accessing secondary care services
- Wide range of life experiences to provide an enablement and positive view of opportunities for others
- Understanding of the issues and concerns of mental health service users
Experience
- Previous work in a mental health peer support or facilitation role
- Ability to maintain boundaries and establish a positive therapeutic relationship with service users and carers
- Experience of liaising with other agencies and partners

- Ability to work in a non-judgmental manner
- Adaptable to change
