Description Wood is recruiting for a Due Diligence Lead to join us on a permanent basis. This is an exciting, global opportunity supporting the Compliance Counsels East and West, who are responsible for providing advice on all business ethics issues globally, in relation to ethics & compliance due diligence (E&C DD). The position therefore provides an opportunity to assist the team in conducting E&C DD and provide meaningful advice and guidance across some challenging jurisdictions ensuring sustainable success for Wood. We are open to this role being either hybrid from one of our UK office or remote. LI-Hybrid LI-Remote The Role The position involves administering our Commercial Intermediary (CI) Procedure end to end (CIs are our being our highest risk third parties that interact with government officials on our behalf), which includes conducting E&C DD, analysing E&C DD findings and identifying red flags, obtaining approvals, maintaining records and dashboards, assisting with assurance activities, producing management information reports and maintaining and refining Power BI dashboards. You will also support the Compliance Counsel East with the implementation of the E&C DD elements of the Wood’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption programme, namely: Supply Chain E&C DD, Joint Venture E&C DD and Client & Project E&C DD. Expected: Relevant experience in a similar business ethics and compliance, legal / commercial, supply chain and / or audit / assurance role The candidate will have a strong academic record Practice area, e.g. international trade, regulatory compliance Experience of conducting third party due diligence Awareness of national and international laws, regulations and guidance dealing with such matters as ABAC, AML, fraud, competition, IP and non-retaliation Knowledge of corporate governance frameworks and internal controls Experience in dashboard tools such as Power BI and web application tools such as SharePoint and Power Apps Desirable: Experience within a relevant sector (e.g. O&G, engineering, extractives etc.) would be advantageous Personal attributes: A self-starter that is highly organised and outcomes focused Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to give clear, well-reasoned and business focused advice Good interpersonal skills and able to build trust and credibility with stakeholders by clear, regular and consistent communication Good presentation skills, able to stay calm when challenged and always ready to listen and adapt An effective team player that can build the trust and support of work colleagues in remote offices Committed to life-long learning and development Embraces innovation and change as a driver for improving quality and effectiveness Flexibility to adapt quickly to new challenges and environments
