As a Secure Collection Operative, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, visiting clients across the region, collecting confidential materials, and ensuring they’re securely transported for destruction. It’s a role that combines driving, customer interaction, and hands-on work, offering variety and purpose in every day.
This isn’t your typical Class 2 Driver role, it’s hands-on and physically demanding. As a Secure Collection Operative, you’ll not only be behind the wheel but also actively involved in the collection and movement of confidential paper containers, which can be heavy. You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials are securely collected, handled, and transported for destruction, combining driving expertise with physical work and excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Check the vehicle at the start of the shift, completing the defect sheet and reporting any defects
Drive vehicles you are licensed to drive and comply with all Driver Regulations, including hours
Use tachographs correctly at all times
Ensure all appropriate and required equipment to complete your daily duties is loaded onto the vehicle before leaving the depot
Review and understand all job sheets before leaving the depot
Use the PDA correctly to record daily collection activities and customer information
Complete all jobs on time and correctly, either solo or with a driver’s assistant
Ensure all paperwork is completed for each job, with items collected recorded and signed for by the client, with a copy handed in at the end of the shift
Ensure the material is safe and secure at all times
About you:
Full UK Class 2 driving licence
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to apply the principles of customer care
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
Capable of handling tasks involving lifting and transporting materials
