Overview
Learning and Development Coordinator - Social Work at Warwickshire County Council. 12-month opportunity to coordinate and evolve the ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) approach. Location: Hybrid (Base: Shire Hall, Warwick – minimum one day per week in office). Contract Type: 30 hours per week / Fixed-term (12 months).
About You
You should be a qualified, registered Social Worker and Practice Educator, with expertise in social work education, mentoring, assessment and learning. You should have the ability to communicate and engage effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders, working alongside a dedicated team and key stakeholders across Adult Social Care and Children’s Services. With skills in organisation and M365 applications, having strong project management and process coordination abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate relevant processes for Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) across Adult and Children’s Services ASYE programmes, including induction, training, portfolio moderation, and assessment panels.
* Provide expert support and guidance to NQSWs, managers, assessors, and consultant social workers.
* Deliver the best ASYE experience that meets professional standards by: collaborating with internal and external partners and networks; staying informed on national and local social work updates and ASYE developments; use data and feedback to continuously improve.
