About the opportunity:
Jacobs Engineering is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). PPP is an exciting model to work in with Four world class organisations who have come together as one team, to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.
The programme arrangement is set to deliver ~£7bn worth of major projects creating a lasting legacy through the long-term partnerships.

As a result of an increasing portfolio of projects, we are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join one of our teams in Warrington.

Contract Administrator shall report to the Commercial Lead and will be required to:
1. Support the Commercial Lead in upholding Jacobs values within PPP, driving for progressive improvement in the effective application of the contracting model within Lot 2 and across the partnership; working with the other partners’ Commercial Leads to develop cross-PPP strategies and implementation plans will be key aspect of this role.
2. Support specific projects within the programme through effective contract administration and where appropriate negotiation with suppliers/vendors on areas of contention and on the interpretation of the contract as a practical, day-to-day working document
3. Maintain long-term relationships with the customer and other stakeholders within specific PPP projects
4. Support the delivery of financial targets for the business area (revenue, profit and staff utilisation) through the defence of commercial interests
5. Monitoring of end-life forecast on projects helping to ensure operating profit is maintained, commercial issues and risks are identified, and appropriate mitigating strategies developed
6. Ensure the preparation and negotiation of variations, contract amendment, claims, EWNs and addressing the consequence of ECIs;
7. Ensure all relevant records are kept as appropriate, monitor and maintain project documentation records and registers in compliance with client and Jacobs’ policies, procedures and expectations
Here's What You'll Need:
8. Degree educated in Commercial Management or other relevant qualification
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
10. Previous experience in a similar role
11. Working knowledge of the NEC forms of contract
12. Both pre- and post-contract knowledge
