Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (PM / Nights) Location: Southall OTHER LOCATIONS AVAILABLE: Radlett, Heathrow, West London, High Wycombe Employment Type: Temp (on-going) Job Description: We are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Double Decker Drivers for an ongoing position. The role involves trunking work, with depot-to-depot deliveries, primarily driving double-decker trailers. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods, with a maximum of 1-2 drops per day. - Trunking work, depot to depot, swapping trailers. - Driving double-decker trailer. - Maximum 1 - 2 drops per day. - Start times between 12:00 - 21:00, must be flexible. - Traveling to various depots. Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles according to company and legal guidelines. - Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled. - Ensure all goods are transported safely and securely. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. - Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Requirements: - Valid HGV Class 1 licence and clean driving record (no more than 6 pts; no DR, DD, DG,CD, BD codes). - Valid CPC and Tacho Card. - Proven experience in a similar role - minimum 1 year (no employment gaps exceeding 3 months for the past year). - Strong organisational and time management skills. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed. PAYE Rates (Before 12-Weeks) : Monday to Friday £18.00 per hour (first 8h), Overtime after 8h £22 per hour. Saturday £21.00 per hour (all hours). Sunday £23.00 per hour (all hours). Bank Holiday £28.00 per hour (all hours). PAYE Rates (After 12-Weeks) : Monday to Friday £18.50 per hour (first 8h), Overtime after 8h £23.00 per hour. Saturday £21.50 per hour (all hours).
