Bespak is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician for our Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary ranges from £41k-£46k, including shift premiums. Our benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, an 8% company pension contribution, onsite parking, medical/dental/health/life insurance, and a discretionary annual bonus paid since 2020. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, alternating weekly shifts from 6am to 2:30pm and 2pm to 10:30pm.
As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include maintaining our moulding, assembly, and packaging systems, performing reactive repairs and scheduled maintenance, and supporting manufacturing teams with training and process improvements. You will work on diverse equipment, mainly cam-driven assembly systems and injection moulding machines (50t-300t) with automation, directly impacting production efficiency.
Our company is a pharmaceutical CDMO producing medical devices such as asthma inhalers, soft mist inhalers, and dry powder inhalers in a safe, clean environment. We prioritize safety, with over 1,200 days without a lost-time accident, reflecting our commitment to employee safety.
Your duties will include:
1. Repair and maintain moulding, assembly, and packaging systems.
2. Complete reactive repairs and investigate root causes.
3. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
4. Provide technical advice and training on systems maintenance.
5. Assist with equipment installation and validation.
6. Identify and support process improvements and procedural changes.
Key skills and experience beneficial for this role include:
1. Completed engineering or mechanical/electrical trade apprenticeship.
2. Knowledge of statistical control systems and diagrams.
3. Level 3 engineering, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship.
4. Experience with machine control systems such as PLC, ASI, HMI, pneumatics.
5. Familiarity with vision systems, pneumatics, and laser/print marking systems.
This role may suit individuals with experience as Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, Plant Technician, or recent Maintenance Apprenticeship graduates in manufacturing.
