Maintaining accurate patient records on the clinical IT system d. The correct labelling, packaging and storing of samples e. Effective use of the specimen log, resolving any discrepancies f. Ensuring samples are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner g.
Maintaining an effective liaison with the NHS Trust laboratory staff h. Working collaboratively with the nursing team, seeking guidance when necessary for patient related matters
