Area Sales Engineer – Industrial Electrical Control & Automation

TipTopJob is looking for an experienced Area Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join our team in the North of the Tyne area.


Key Responsibilities

* Sell a range of high quality Industrial Automation products (PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation) to the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets throughout the North of the Tyne area.
* Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to meet objectives.
* Manage and further develop an existing portfolio of accounts while actively identifying new avenues of business.
* Work effectively as part of a team, while enjoying autonomy, and maintain excellent organization and communication skills.
* Utilize Microsoft packages efficiently as part of daily activities.


Essential Qualifications

* Proven sales success and achievement within the Industrial Automation industry.
* Experience as a Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Technical Salesperson.
* Formal qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above desirable but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of industrial automation products and markets.
* Ability to demonstrate sales skills and knowledge, supported by any relevant training.
* Capability with Microsoft office packages.
