Overview
Information Governance Officer (Ref: IGO) – Broxbourne Council. 30 hours per week. Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. Hybrid/remote working options available.
Salary: £25,100.40 per annum (FTE £30,957.16pa). Closing date: 19 October 2025. Part-time, permanent role.
Responsibilities
* Process enquiries using the Council’s IT systems, chase the provision of information and prepare responses to be sent to the public.
* Respond to Freedom of Information requests and Subject Access Requests, liaising with the public, staff in all Council departments and external organisations.
What you will do
* Support the legal team by responding to information requests and managing information responses.
* Work with colleagues across Council departments to source information accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
* GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 or above.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly organised with strong IT skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to source information and provide helpful, accurate responses; inquisitive mindset.
Requirements and values
You will need to demonstrate a high standard of communication, both written and verbal, and be able to converse at ease with members of the public in fluent English.
